How to Pitch Your Music to Playlist Curators
This information is NOT intended to spam curators.
Be professional with your pitch and strategic with the track you pick.
Many successful artists use this method to get themselves permanently placed in popular playlists instead of paying and being removed through rotation. With this free method you are likely to get a high no response rate at first but if you pitch dope music and follow up, you will get in playlists.
- Search your genre of music on Spotify and narrow down playlists that have your type of music in them. You will notice the name of the curators under the title of the playlist as well as the number of followers they have.
- Once you find a playlist you want to pitch to, take the curators name and search it on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. Make sure its the actual curator. (A lot of times it will be obvious like same picture.)
- Send them a small professional pitch about why you think your music should be in their playlist.
- Keep track and follow up in 2 weeks.
